Vehicle Description 1952 Packard 250 Mayfair Hardtop.
Located near PORTLAND, OREGON.
This 1952 Mayfair Hardtop was sold new by Wilkinson Packard Co.
in Wilkinson, Pennsylvania.
The original owner was a plumber who shortly after purchase moved to Florida, where the car received limited use.
Some years later, the owner moved with the Packard to Palm Springs, California where the current owner purchased the car in 2012.
Now showing 41,200 miles on the odometer, this Mayfair has never been restored.
Body is straight and accident-free, with excellent panel fit.
It did receive one repaint in the past in correct original Packard Turquoise Light color, however the Packard Ivory top wears the original 1952 paint, which is still excellent after 70 years.
The chrome is beautiful and bright with no pitting or damage.
Current owner added the Packard wire wheels and hubcaps which were fitted with new radial tires when installed and now have just a few hundred miles on them.
(The original wheels and hubcaps will be included if wanted by the buyer.
) The original upholstery (which was styled by noted interior designer of the era, Dorothy Draper), is in incredible original condition.
Original headliner with no damage.
It appears that the carpeting may have been replaced, but it is hard to tell.
It is correct red wool, showing no wear.
The interior chrome and trim are excellent.
All glass and window frames are excellent.
All gauges work and register accurately.
Radio is present and hums but does not sing.
Has rare, Packard accessory swing-out tissue dispenser under the dashboard and accessory Fulton traffic light viewer on top of the dash.
Trunk has original floor covering, spare tire/wheel and restored jack in box.
Also included is a collection of rare, original dealer items including factory upholstery samples, paint samples, original 1952 Salesman's Data Book, brochures and magazines related to the car.
