POSITION
Summary: The Mental Health Clinician is responsible for providing counseling/psychotherapy to children and families, adults, couples, and groups. This position is also responsible for maintaining accurate records, relating to other staff in a supportive manner, recommending and carrying out agency policies, and remaining professionally current. Note: we provide in-house clinical supervision, both 1:1 and group, as well as reimburse for CSWA or credentialing in order to complete the role.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/MAJOR JOB
Responsibilities:
Provide culturally mindful mental health treatment services to children, youth, adults and families experiencing mental health conditions
Conduct mental health screenings and assessments to determine treatment needs
Diagnose students utilizing most current DSM format
Facilitate consumer participation in the development of treatment plans based on consumer strengths
Maintain timely case notes and records in alignment with the agency's documentation standards
Apply evidenced-based practices in treatment
Collaborate with consumer supports, including family members, partner agencies, and others as indicated on an ongoing basis
Provide culturally appropriate, trauma-informed counseling to individuals, families, and groups
Model and encourage direct, professional communication among staff members
Demonstrate awareness and sensitivity in the delivery of client services as it relates to the cultural and socioeconomic characteristics of the populations served
Stay up to date in knowledge and skills in the field
Meets or exceeds established productivity standards
Perform duties and work on other projects as assigned

Requires strict adherence of HIPAA standards in the office workspace to ensure confidentiality
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Master's degree granted by an accredited institution in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field is required
Must meet State of Oregon Administrative Rule requirements for a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) and possess, or work toward, MHACBO certification as a QMHP-C unless already pursuing licensure through another counseling/social work profession's board.
Successful completion of a background check through DHS and the FBI is required
Cannot be excluded from participation in any federal healthcare programs (Medicaid, Medicare, and other federally funded programs that provide health benefits)
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: LCSW, LMFT, LPC, or QMHP-C in the State of Oregon is preferred; eligibility for licensure, or working toward licensure, in Oregon is required. Must have a current driver license, car insurance, and consistent access to a reliable vehicle.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
